Know your lamb shank from your loin? We’ve just launched a series of Meat Masterclass videos to share traditional butchery skills and classic cuts via our social media platforms.

The series kicks off with a focus on lamb with nine separate mini videos on how to bone, trim, roll and tie neck fillets, shanks, chops, shoulder, leg and hind from a whole lamb carcass.

The videos are free to view on JJ’s YouTube page and will be shared via its Twitter and Facebook platforms. Feel free to let your customers know and to showcase JJ’s Welsh lamb via the videos!

JJ’s fresh lamb sales have increased by 60% over the past year following the introduction of regionally sourced, fresh Welsh lines and a new state-of-the-art meat counter at its Enfield branch.

“Our fresh lamb is free-range and has been produced from prime, fully-traceable, farm-assured animals. Our prices are up to three times cheaper than the major supermarkets and offer excellent margins for caterers,” added Ali.
