“Excellent service at JJ’s” says Bon Bori Sushi owner

At JJ’s we cater for many different restaurant types – this month we’re visiting sushi customers to see how we can improve service and product range to this important (and growing!) sector.

Last week we visited Bon Bori in Southbank. Here’s how it went…

Managing Director, Jake O’Neill, a JJ customer for two years, says that his restaurant fills the uncommon middle ground between high-end and grab-and-go. “We want to re-create the feel of urban Japan” he says.

“Sushi has been in London for 50 years – but we are filling a unique space.”

Bon Bori is a a relaxed and informal place to eat and drink delicious Sushi and Izakaya dishes like Dumplings, Chicken Kara-age, and Tofu Agadashi while enjoying a cold beer, wine, or sake, from the bar.

Signature dishes include ‘Sushi Bombs’, ‘Special Rolls’, ‘Curry Udon’ and ‘Kimchee Rice’

Jake uses a number of different suppliers – but says that the delivery service at JJ’s is always excellent. “You guys are great, the drivers are always polite, tidy and on time. We always get what we ordered and the website keeps your order history, which helps us to place new orders quickly.”

The restaurant is starting to attract even more passers by, particularly as more bars and eateries a popping up, but Jake says it’s his online ordering business, Flying Fish Sushi, that’s really driving sales.

“We have many local businesses ordering our sushi online in bulk for meetings – it’s a big part of our trade now,” says Jake.
