Halva Nice Day!
This week we are promoting our NEW halva (also spelt helva). It’s a traditional, Middle Eastern melt-in-the-mouth sweet.
The most common variation is made from crushed sesame seeds with added nuts, flavourings and even chocolate.
How Do I Eat It?
Spread soft halva on your toast, crackers, oat cakes or even sprinkle it on your granola. Because of its intense, sweet flavour, a little goes a long way.
Is it Healthy?
Halva is rich in healthy fats like Omega 6, which can help to reduce cholesterol. It also contains essential vitamins and minerals including iron, Vitamin E, Zinc and Calcium.
